Development Leasing

A dedicated group of leasing professionals are an integral part of our ground-up development and redevelopment teams. Development leasing team members are responsible for developing and executing a well-thought out merchandise strategy for each shopping center and work closely with the entire development team to ensure that the best design and store opportunities are available to retailers. Pursuing retailers that the market profiles and fill customer demand is a key strategy of each merchandise plan.

Peripheral Land

The Large Format, Peripheral Land and Urban Villages department is responsible for the leasing of vacant land pads and all buildings on our mall properties and in our power centers. The group focuses on traditional retail uses including national "big box" merchants, theaters and anchor tenants. Additionally we work with other uses such as office professional financial services, hotels, restaurants and entertainment.

National Restaurant

The National Restaurant Leasing Group (NRLG) is responsible for all restaurant leasing throughout the entire Macerich portfolio. It includes free-standing restaurant pads, new lifestyle village developments, new ground-up mall developments, existing malls and retail developments as well as inside/outside mall locations. The group focuses on casual, upscale/premium casual dining as well as unique chef-driven restaurant concepts spanning local, regional and national restaurant concepts and companies.

Carts & Kiosks

This program gives people who want to test the waters before making the big leap to a longer term deal the opportunity to do so. We offer short term Cart Kiosk and in-line opportunities year round. Whether you are a cart vendor who takes advantage of the "fad" of the moment or a retailer who wants to test market a new product via our temporary program or a first time entrepreneur, Macerich can make it happen and put you on the map. Via our temporary program, we strive to enhance and offer a more diversified merchandise mix to our customers. On-site at every property is a Specialty Leasing Manager that will work with you directly to get your business up and running as fast as you want to make it happen. We also offer visual merchandising assistance and state-of-the-art retail merchandising units.
